From scroll to skillet: YourSaveur is live on Google Play

You have saved hundreds of cooking videos. You have cooked almost none of them. YourSaveur turns any TikTok or Instagram recipe video into a complete, structured recipe scaled, shopped for, and read aloud while you cook. It is out now on Google Play.

Somewhere on your phone there is a folder full of food. Thirty videos, maybe three hundred. A garlic butter salmon you meant to make in March. A dal that looked like the one your neighbour makes. A chocolate cake somebody mixed in four minutes flat.

You have cooked almost none of them.

That is not a discipline problem. It is a format problem. A cooking video is a wonderful way to want a dish and a miserable way to actually cook one. The measurements flash past as on-screen text. The steps sit buried under a trending audio clip. And at the exact moment you need the information, your hands are covered in flour, the screen has locked, and the video has autoplayed into somebody's gym routine.

YourSaveur is our answer to that, and as of today it is live on Google Play.

The idea, in one line

Copy the link to any public TikTok or Instagram recipe video. Paste it into YourSaveur. Get the whole recipe back.

The AI watches the video the way you would if you had the patience for it. It reads the on-screen text, the caption, and the spoken steps together, then hands you something you can actually cook from: every ingredient with its exact measurement, every step in order, and a short summary of what you are making.

No ads. No autoplay. No scrubbing back with wet hands to catch the step you missed.

We call that a scan. One video in, one complete recipe out.

Four steps, start to finish

  1. Spot something delicious on TikTok or Instagram and copy the link.
  2. Paste the URL into YourSaveur. The AI reads the video and pulls out the full recipe automatically.
  3. Make it yours: rescale the servings, dress it in a wallpaper theme, send the ingredients to Groceries.
  4. Start Cook Mode and cook it hands-free.

The recipe adapts before the stove is even on.

Cook Mode is the part we are proudest of

Extracting a recipe is the obvious half of the problem. The other half is the twenty minutes after that, when you are standing at the hob with one hand in a bowl trying to remember whether it was a teaspoon or a tablespoon.

Cook Mode reads every step aloud with an on-device neural voice, highlighting the words as it speaks. Timers live inside the step they belong to, so "marinate 30 minutes" arrives as a ring you start with a single tap, keeping honest time while your hands stay busy. Hands-free mode turns the page by itself when the narration or the timer finishes. Say nothing, touch nothing, keep cooking. The screen stays awake the whole time.

Because the voice runs on your phone rather than in the cloud, all of it works with the Wi-Fi off. Nothing to download, nothing to wait for, nothing to buffer in a kitchen with bad signal.

Finish a session and the recipe logs it. Cook number seven on your butter chicken is a small badge, and a real habit.

Serves two? Serves twenty?

Recipes from videos are written for whoever filmed them. You are not cooking for whoever filmed them.

Any recipe in YourSaveur rescales from 1 to 50 servings instantly, offline, with maths that behaves the way a cook expects. Measures snap to proper fractions, so you get 1 1/2 cup rather than 1.4999 cups. Whole eggs stay whole eggs. And "to taste" stays "to taste", because scaling it by 3.5 would be nonsense.

The grocery list writes itself

Send any recipe's ingredients to a shopping list that is grouped the way the shop is actually laid out. Produce with produce, dairy with dairy, spices with spices, so you walk the aisles once instead of three times.

Quantities follow the serving size you already picked. Duplicates merge quietly, so two cloves plus one clove becomes three. Staples like salt, oil and water arrive pre-ticked, visible enough that you can double-check the cupboard, never nagging you to buy them again.

Groceries is completely free and never costs a scan.

Seven themes, and exports that match

Every recipe can be dressed in one of seven painterly wallpaper looks: Harvest, Provence, Soft Pastel, Journal, Farmhouse, Tuscan and Trattoria.

The part that matters is what happens when you share it. Pick a wallpaper, a font and a layout, and the exact same look is reproduced everywhere the recipe goes: on screen, on the crisp PNG card you post to your story, and on the print-ready PDF you stick to the fridge door. They cannot drift apart, because they are all rendered from the same thing.

Pricing: packs, not a subscription

We did not want to charge you every month for a thing you might use twice in March and nine times in December. So YourSaveur sells scan packs instead, and they never expire.

Every new account starts with 3 free scans. No credit card required.

After that:

  • Starter Pack — 5 scans for $1.99
  • Popular Pack — 15 scans for $4.99
  • Pro Pack — 50 scans for $9.99

Buy a pack once and use it whenever you like. There is no monthly reset, no expiry date and no subscription to remember to cancel.

And a scan is only ever spent on the one thing that costs us real work, which is turning a video into a recipe. Saving recipes, browsing your collection, rescaling servings, applying themes, exporting, and the entire grocery list are all free, forever, and always have been. Payments run through Stripe, so we never see or store your card details.

What it will not do

A short section, because we would rather you knew now than found out mid-cook.

YourSaveur reads videos that contain a recipe. If a video shows or describes a dish, the app can extract it, and clear cooking videos work best. A silent aesthetic montage set to music, with no on-screen text, no caption and no spoken steps, has no recipe in it to find, and no amount of AI invents one honestly.

It works with public videos from TikTok and Instagram. Private and restricted posts are not accessible to the app.

And it is Android only for now. That is genuinely the most common question we get, so: yes, we hear you, and no, there is no iOS build today.

Why it is called YourSaveur

Saveur is a French noun meaning flavour, taste, savour. Put "your" in front of it and you have the whole idea. The flavours you keep finding in other people's videos were never really yours. They were bookmarked, which is not the same thing as saved.

The app exists to close that gap: to take the dish you scrolled past at midnight and make it something you actually cooked, at your serving size, on your shopping list, in your kitchen.
